These juicy, tangy, and sweet Honey BBQ Wings are giving perfect game-day vibes.

Honey BBQ Wings

These Honey BBQ Wings are so DELISH! So, wings are my thing (which you may know by now). I know that may sound a bit silly, but I am shamelessly a wing expert. True story: I ALWAYS host Sunday Funday Football parties and run a Fantasy Football league, so that I can eat and talk about wings. Crazy right? I also love healthier substitutes like Buffalo Cauliflower Wings and these amazing little Buffalo Chicken Sweet Potato Poppers. I will try any version of Wings or anything buffalo, but I will be critiquing it.

Now that I have established my credibility, go ahead and make these Honey BBQ Wings. These wings are both sweet and savory. They are tangy and a bit smoky. They are SO GOOD!

What you will love about this recipe is that it is effortless. Seriously, it involves only a few ingredients and is ready in just three steps! You will be having sports bar quality deliciousness right from the comfort of your own kitchen in a snap. Similarly to my Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Wings, these Honey BBQ Wings are cooked in the air fryer, so no deep fryer is needed!

Are Honey BBQ Wings Healthy?

Honey BBQ Wings are a great source of protein and have several vitamins. Since they are cooked in the air fryer they are much healthier than deep-fried wings that you would order at a restaurant. These Honey BBQ Wings are low in carbs and keto-friendly.

Did I mention that these wings are delicious? Because being happy is great for your overall health too.

How To Achieve Perfectly Crispy Wings

First of all, be sure to pat your wings dry before tossing them in the oil, salt, and pepper. Another tip is to be sure you preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit. You want it nice and hot from the start to get these guys crispy. Also, you will be working in batches so leave space between the wings. Overcrowding will not allow the air to circulate around each wing. Finally, be sure to flip halfway through cooking.

FAQs & Tips

How to Make Ahead and Store?

These can be stored in the fridge for three to five days in an airtight container. If you are making them ahead, I would put the sauce on after to preserve the crispiness. To reheat place them back in the air fryer for 5–10 minutes.

Can I use this recipe for boneless wings?

Yes! The cooking time for the chicken will vary depending on the size of your boneless wings. I would cook them for about 10–12 minutes. Also, every air fryer is different so keep an eye on them. Let me know how they come out!

What kind of BBQ sauce should I use?

Any kind of BBQ sauce will work. I recommend making your own with this recipe Keto BBQ Sauce or try Primal Kitchen.
