What is Fish Sauce

If you’ve never cooked with fish sauce before or used it at all, it might be time for you to go to your local supermarket and pick up a bottle! Fish sauce is made from salted fish such as anchovies that have been fermented for about 2 years. It has quite the “fishy” smell, but it adds SO much flavor to all kinds of Asian dishes, including this thai salad dressing recipe.

How to make Thai Salad Dressing

This is honestly the FASTEST salad dressing recipe known to humankind. There is no fancy set of instructions at all- you literally just need to mix it up and you’ll be ready to enjoy it!

Mix

Place all the dressing ingredients into a small bowl and use a wire whisk to thoroughly combine them!

Pour over top of your favorite salad and DEVOUR!

Make it Your Own

There are so many possibilities when it comes to tweaking this recipe to fit your liking, so I say GO FOR IT! If you want it a little sweeter, add a bit more honey or agave to the mix. If you like it a bit more tart and tangy, bump up the lime! If you’re looking for a spicy thai salad dressing, a squeeze of sriracha will do and if you want it a bit thicker and creamier, add some more peanut butter!

But if you happen to have leftovers or want to make it ahead of time to enjoy on salads all week long, you most definitely can! This dressing will last up to 2 weeks in an airtight container in the fridge. Remember to label it with the date!
