Baskin-Robbins Unveils Thanksgiving Dinner Ice Cream Flavor

Thanksgiving leftover sandwiches have become all the rage in recent years, with many restaurants and chains selling their own versions of the delicacy, sometimes even beyond the holiday season. Seemingly in an effort to capitalize off the trend, this year Baskin-Robbins is offering up a Thanksgiving dinner-themed Flavor of the Month, just in time for turkey day.
Much like the Thanksgiving sandwich, the ice cream chain’s “Turkey Day Fixin’s” flavor mashes up several dishes into one concoction to bring together “everything you love about your favorite sides.” However, vegetarians rejoice, because you won’t find any actual turkey in the flavor; nor will you find stuffing or mashed potatoes.
According to a company press release, the Turkey Day Fixin’s features a “surprising combination” of sweet potato and autumn spice ice creams, swirled with honey cornbread pieces and Ocean Spray cranberry sauce.
But if that description still doesn’t do it for you, company is also bringing back its iconic Turkey Cake dessert this year, which is described as Baskin-Robbins’ take on a roasted turkey made to look like it’s fresh out of the oven. Customers can have the cake filled with any flavor of ice cream, which is then decorated with sugar cone legs and covered in caramel praline glaze to resemble a bird.

“We continue to push the boundaries of flavor innovation at Baskin-Robbins and wanted to bring a unique scoop to the table that deliciously encapsulates all the sweet and savory flavors from your favorite Thanksgiving sides,” said Baskin-Robbins Director of Brand Marketing, Hannah Suits. “Along with the return of our iconic Turkey Cake, these offerings are a delicious and innovative take on holiday favorites.”
But while the Turkey Cake must be pre-ordered online, the Turkey Day Fixin’s flavor will likely only be around until the end of the month. So get it while you can, if that’s your sort of thing.
