Golden State Warrior Draymond Green was caught on a hot mic trash talking Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves during Sunday night’s matchup in San Francisco.

The fiery encounter occurred with just five minutes left in the game, according to Sporting News. Edwards was leading his team with 33 points when Green fouled him during a transition. Edwards objected, and the two came to verbal blows.

“Don’t foul me like that,” Edwards said. “Get the fuck out of here.”

“You think I’m gonna give you a layup?” Green shot back, to which Edwards responded something unintelligible. Whatever he said, it ignited fury from Green. “What you gonna do about it? You not gonna do nothing about it. Stop talking,” the four-time NBA All-Star and Foot Locker spokesman spat.

“Ain’t nobody worried about you, bruh,” Edwards retorted. “Hell nah.”

Edwards proceeded to let his actions do the talking for him. He scored another 10 points in the final minutes of the game. Adding some juice to the rivalry is the fact that two of Edwards’ last three field goals were over Green. The Timberwolves went on to beat the Warriors by 116–110 on Sunday.

Both Edwards and Green share a love of competitive trash talking. During the last offseason, Edwards even said he wanted to face the Warriors “because Draymond talks so much trash.”

The feud is very likely to continue Tuesday night, as the Warriors and Timberwolves face off once again at San Francisco’s Chase Center. That game will be a part of the NBA’s inaugural In-Season Tournament.

“Because Draymond [Green] talks so much trash. That’s pretty much the only reason.”
