Simon Cowell hasn’t had the best luck with home security over the past decade. The Britain’s Got Talent judge has dealt with a number of home invaders, and the most recent incident did some nasty property damage as well.

Cowell’s $8.68 million estate in Cotswolds, England is currently overrun with moles that have been digging holes all over the property. According to The Mirror, Cowell’s sprawling eight-acre property is now dominated by molehills and the grass looks like “Swiss cheese.” Cowell has reportedly been seeing the moles moving closer to the house and “getting braver” with their actions. So far, they’ve seemingly already ruined the view from his pool and patio.

“It was fine when they moved in, now the gardens are riddled with molehills,” a source told The Sun of the problem. “It’s like they’re taking over.”

Cowell purchased the idyllic property in 2021 after he dealt with multiple security threats at his mansion in the Holland Park neighborhood in London. Back in 2012, an intruder carrying a brick broke into mansion while Cowell was at home. And in 2015, he and his family were sleeping when thieves broke in and stole £1 million worth of jewelry and two passports.

Despite spending over $600,000 on security precautions including guard dogs, Cowell continued to deal with burglaries at his London home, leading him to move his family to the countryside.

Now, Cowell’s property is being damaged by other unwelcome visitors. Though, luckily they’re small animals instead of human intruders. On top of that, he now has some animal protections of his own, as he’s trained two German shepherds to act as security dogs in case anyone tries to sneak into the property—human or otherwise.
