Zendaya revealed the hilarious reason she redecorated her Dune: Part Two co-star Timothée Chalamet’s apartment. Chalamet and Zendaya appeared alongside fellow co-stars Florence Pugh and Austin Butler on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday night to promote Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming sequel, in theaters March 1.

When Kimmel asked about the bond between the cast, Chalamet replied, “I have great friendships with everyone here. Zendaya helped me set up my first New York apartment years ago.”

“The vibe was very ‘teenage boy,’” Zendaya admitted, as Chalamet laughed knowingly. “You know, we just needed a few necessities,” she continued, before listing: “Cups and plates, knives and forks, things to clean. We needed some structure.”

“A bed, a pillow,” Pugh interjected, which Chalamet took issue with. “There was a bed,” the Wonka star protested, “[but] no bed frame.”

Zendaya then revealed she and Chalamet trekked to a Manhattan Bed Bath & Beyond to find all of the necessary items. “We got him everything he needed,” she said, grinning at Chalamet.

The longtime friends also discussed the first time they met, which according to Chalamet was “a weird airport meeting” just before they made the first Dune. While the two hadn’t officially met, they were traveling on the same plane together. On her way out of the terminal, trying to carry all of her luggage, Zendaya fell to the ground, a sight Chalamet admitted he saw but “ignored.”

“I was like, ‘I think I just saw Zendaya fall,'” he recalled, before coming to his own defense: “I didn’t know her. I didn’t know what to do!” However, Zendaya was able to move past the social flub, going on to become the young actor’s friend and eventual interior decorator. “It’s been forgiven,” she told Kimmel.

“There was a certain amount of therapy,” Chalamet joked of their relationship, “but now we’re here.”
